When I first became aware of the
Shroud of Turin, I enjoyed researching the history and scientific testing of this remarkable burial cloth.
In a sense, this brought me “face to face” with the miracle of the resurrection, and thus came the inspiration for this painting.
The name of the painting came from the scripture in I Corinthians 13:12.
"For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then Face to Face…"
